I came to the United States from Venezuela in 2004, with nothing but some savings and my daughter. Not only did I speak very little English, but I did not understand the first thing about the financial systems. All I wanted was a brighter future for my family and for me.
Despite holding an architecture degree and ten years in pharmaceutical sales, I found myself working as a driver, as a barista, and finally, in an architecture firm. In 2008, I was laid off along with millions of others in this country, nearly lost my home, and my future was now uncertain. I fell into my passion. I started studying for a health and life insurance license.
I realized, with the knowledge I was acquiring in this new venture, I could set myself up for success, and I could help others do the same. My purpose became guiding families into achieving their well-being and financial security. I realized I understood better than anyone how to speak to them, find out what they needed even if they didn’t know themselves. Thanks to all I have learned, I can tailor financial tools to any situation and for every solution.

My experience as an immigrant starting over in a new country, with a new language, and a new culture is why I speak the same language as my clients. It’s not about throwing financial products at them and seeing what sticks. It’s about taking an educational approach so clients know exactly what they are purchasing.
